The Walks module is simple walk tracking: free, permanent and always unlocked. You log distance, duration, photos, notes and small events (pee, poop, encounter) in one tap. It is built for everyday life — separate from the sport Training log, which is the one doing advanced stats.
Recording a walk
You can record a walk live (the app tracks the time and, if you allow it, the GPS track) or enter it afterwards. A walk covers one or several dogs from your pack.
Step by step
- Open the Walks module and start a walk.
- Pick the dog or dogs involved (you can select several).
- During the outing, tap events as they happen: pee, poop, encounter (another dog), or “other” with a short note.
- At the end, save. Distance, duration, the photo and the notes are kept. The GPS track is optional.
One-tap events
- Pee and poop — each tap increments the walk's counter (handy to follow digestion or a urinary issue).
- Encounter — to mark crossing paths with another dog.
- Other — a free-form event, with a short note if you want.
- If GPS is on, the spot of each event can be placed on the track.
GPS is optional
The GPS track enriches the walk (map, start location recognized automatically) but is never required. A walk without a track saves normally — you keep distance, duration, photo and notes.
About the track
- If you allow location, the track is recorded and the start location is named automatically (e.g. “Quebec City, Canada”).
- You can correct or set the location by hand, even without GPS.
- A tracked walk shows a small map marker in the list.
Sharing a walk
You can share a walk through a public link. The link is signed and time-limited: whoever opens it sees the walk (dogs, distance, duration, events, photo) without needing an account, and your owner identity is never exposed.
Creating a share link
- Open the walk you want to share and choose “Share”.
- The app generates a public link (and a share card with your stats).
- Send the link: it stays valid for a limited time, after which you have to generate a new one.
Importing from a GPX file
If your outing was recorded by a collar or another app (Garmin, Strava, Weenect, Fi…), you can create the walk by importing its .gpx file. Distance and duration are derived from the track. It is free, and on sport accounts the outing also feeds your training stats.
Free account limit
The free tier lets you manage up to 2 dogs. The paid plans lift that cap (unlimited pack) and unlock the advanced modules (sport log, health, planning, AI coach…).
Tips
- A walk can cover several dogs: select them all when you start.
- Add a photo: it also serves as the background of the share card.
- Log pee/poop/encounter events right away — it is one tap and it saves you from forgetting.
- Not in the mood to track? Just enter distance and duration at the end: the walk is still complete.
If something goes wrong
- No GPS track? Allow location in your phone/browser settings — the walk is recorded anyway without a track.
- Share link that no longer works? It has expired: reopen the walk and generate a new link.
- Can't add a 3rd dog? That is the free account limit (2 dogs) — the paid plans lift it.
- GPX import refused? Check that the file really contains a track (at least two points) and that it is not empty.
Good to know / abbreviations
- Walk
- A recorded outing: distance, duration, photo, notes and events. This is the free base module.
- Event
- A marker tapped during the walk: pee, poop, encounter or “other”. Pee and poop feed counters.
- GPS track (polyline)
- The route covered, recorded if you allow location. Completely optional.
- Public link (signed sharing)
- A secure, time-limited link that lets someone without an account view your walk, without exposing your identity.
- Location
- The name of the starting spot, recognized automatically from GPS, or entered/corrected by hand.
- GPX
- The track file format exported by most watches and collars. Lets you create a walk by import, without connecting to a third-party service.
- Pack
- All of your dogs. A walk can cover just one of them or several.
- Free limit
- The free account manages up to 2 dogs; the paid plans make the pack unlimited.
- Training log
- The sport module (paid) with advanced stats. Not to be confused with Walks, which stays a simple everyday tracker.
